ENTRY GUIDELINES

PLEASE READ

PDA is not structured like a traditional pole competition.

Our format, judging approach, and on-the-day structure

may differ from what you are used to.

Please take a moment to read the information below to familiarise yourself with what to expect and how the day will run, including timeframes and tech run details.

PDA is designed as a performance-first competition, where every routine is experienced in real time and assessed through a clear, structured scoring system.

• Each session features one dedicated judge
• Audio voice critiques are provided for every competitor
• Final scores are issued via email as a total out of 100 points
• The event runs across two sessions: Morning & Evening

JUDGING PHILOSOPHY

Every performance is judged as it happens — in the moment.

• Judges scoring is based on a structured point system (read more click here)

• Scores are submitted digitally with no post-performance deliberation

• Once scores have been submitted, scores are final
• Results are determined by total points achieved

• In the event of a tie, the judge will determine the final placement between the tied competitors

AWARDS & RECOGNITION

At PDA, awards reflect both standard achieved and overall ranking within the division.

• All competitors will receive an award based on their final score:

BRONZE: 50–65

SILVER: 65–80

GOLD: 80–100

• Awards reflect the level achieved, NOT placement
• Within each division, rankings are determined by total points achieved
• The highest scoring act will be crowned the TITLE WINNER in their division
• The second highest scoring act will be awarded the RUNNER UP in their division
• TITLE WINNERS and RUNNER UPS will formally be crowned and sashed at the conclusion of the general awards ceremony.

PDA is delivered as a continuous performance environment.

Minimal pauses.

No disruption.

Just stage, movement, and connection from beginning to end.

Our aim is to create a performance-driven experience for both competitors and audience alike.

REGISTER?

STAGE 1 - AUDITION

Submit Video & Entry Form

Submit a registration form along with a video that can be as sort as 1:00 or longer..

This video is not required to be continues and may be edited showcasing your best;

Tricks and combinations
A routine filmed in the studio or on stage

The video can be anything that clearly demonstrates your current skill level and performance quality. Upload your video to any platform and if private, please allow access/unlisted.

STAGE 2 - ACCEPTANCE

ONCE SUCCESSFUL

Successful entries will be notified via email. Once accepted, official registration will begin, your introduction video may be presented closer to the event date.

NO COMPETITION RUNNER ON THE DAY!

A competition runner will not be provided on the day.

HOW WILL I KNOW WHEN TO COME SIDE STAGE?

In the dressing room, a large monitor will display clear instructions, including:

Who is currently on stage
Which competitor is in the waiting area
Which competitor should make their way to side stage

TIME ALLOCATION

Each competitor is allocated a maximum of 5 minutes in total which includes;

Introduction
Pole Clean
Prop Setup & Pack Down
Routine

1:00 - 1:30 Minutes

Pole Cleaning: Pole cleaners will be provided. You may also bring your own cleaner, who must be aware of and adhere to the time limit.
Props: If props are used, you are responsible to orgainise a prop helper.

You must provide side-stage helpers who are present at rehearsal and on performance day to place and remove props within the allocated time.

2:00 – 3:00 minutes

Routine/Performance: The act that will be performed on stage

INTRODUCTION
(Encouraged but not mandatory)

Once successful, competitors are encouraged to provide a video introduction, which will be presented during pole cleaning.

*If a video is not provided, a written submission will be accepted.

You may film yourself speaking directly to the camera, or take it further and get creative. Your studio, your workplace, your home — wherever your story feels most authentic.
