General Rules
Registration
  • Entries can only be submitted via the competition’s official website using the online registration form.

  • Strictly no emailed entries will be accepted.

  • All entries are accepted at the judges’ and organisers’ discretion, and decisions are final.

  • All audition and entry fees are non-refundable, regardless of the outcome.

Payment Requirement
  • Entries must be paid in full before the competition commences or closing date using the online payment gateway or in the form of an invoice sent to the competitor.

  • Entry confirmations are only issued upon full payment.

  • Unpaid entries will not be allocated a time slot in the running order or draft schedule.

Cancellation
  • The competition reserves the right to cancel an event for any reason.

  • In the event that a competition or event is cancelled, competitors will be offered the option of a transfer or a full refund.

  • Competitors may choose to withdraw from a competition or event at any time; however, no refunds or credits will be issued for voluntary withdrawals.

Time Limit
  • Each competitor is assigned a fixed time limit

  • Allocated time limits are strictly enforced to ensure the event runs efficiently

  • Adhering to time limits allows maximum stage opportunities for all competitors

  • Time allocations include performance, competition requirements, pole cleaning, introductions, and any setup

  • By registering, competitors acknowledge and accept these time constraints as part of the event format

General
Judging, Scoring, Awards & Divisions
Judging
  • Competitors will be evaluated by a single judge using a point system.

  • The judging method is similar to that of an exam style, where each entrant is assessed based on a set of criteria rather than against other entrants.

  • All participants acknowledge that the decisions made by judges are final and cannot be questioned.

  • Entrants acknowledge and agree before taking part in a competition that scores are final.

  • Participants accept that the directors/producers and organisers of any/all ITC hosted event including and not limited to ICONIC Arts have full authority to determine how and when judging will take place.

  • Competitors, studio directors and teachers agree that all procedures, timing, and criteria for judging are determined exclusively by the organisers and cannot be challenged or questioned.

Voice Critiques
  • Judges’ voice critiques will be available within 2-3 weeks (or earlier) after the competition.

  • Voice critiques for duo, trio, quad or group entries will be sent to the registered email address.

  • In the event that a voice critique fails, is corrupted during recording, or is otherwise unusable, this cannot be used as grounds for a discount or refund.

  • Where a voice critique is unavailable, it is at the organisers’ discretion to provide an alternative format, such as a written critique.

Scoring Criteria
  • Each entry will be assessed and assigned a score out of 100 points.

  • Competitors are judged against a defined scoring criteria rather than in direct comparison with other competitors.

  • Each competitor will receive their total score via the email address provided at registration.

  • A detailed breakdown of individual scoring criteria will not be provided.

Criteria Breakdown
Awards & Prizes
  • Competitors will be awarded a prize based on the following scores during the ceremony.
    BRONZE: 50–65
    SILVER: 65–80
    GOLD: 80–100

  • Competitors must be present to claim an award.

  • All competitors will be awarded a prize based on their total score.

  • The TOP Scoring competitor in their division will be TITLED the division Winner.

  • The 2nd highest scoring competitor in their division will be TITLED the Runner Up.

Divisions
  • Each division has been carefully designed to provide a fair and equal opportunity for all competitors.

  • Competitors are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the division guidelines prior to entering.

  • Contact the competition before submitting an entry if division clarification is required.

  • Failure to comply with division guidelines or regulations may result in disqualification.

Time Limits, Props & Restrictions

Each competitor is assigned a fixed time limit.

Allocated time limits are strictly enforced to ensure the event runs efficiently

Adhering to time limits allows maximum stage opportunities for all competitors

Allocated time breakdown below.

5 Minute Time Allowance
  • Each competitor will be allocated a maximum of 5 minutes in total.

  • The allocated 5 minutes will be divided into 2 parts.
    Part 1 - 
     A maximum of 1:30 minutes for Pole cleaning, taking props on and setting them up.
    Part 2 - A maximum of 2:30 minutes will be provided for the routine

  • The remaining 1:00 minute will be allocated as a buffer.

Routine Time Limit
  • Routines must be a minimum of 1:45 minutes in length and must not exceed 2:30 minutes.

  • Music submissions that fall outside these time requirements will not be accepted.

  • Failure to adhere to the time limit may result in the music being cut off once the 2:30 minute limit is reached.

Pole Cleaning
  • Competitors may choose to organise their own pole cleaner.

  • Competitors are welcome to clean and test their own poles before their routine.

  • If a competitor provides their own pole cleaner, they must adhere to the allocated time allowance for pole cleaning.

  • Any pole cleaner provided by a competitor must be present at both the technical rehearsal and the competition day.

  • Pole cleaners who have not attended the technical rehearsal will not be permitted to perform duties on the competition day.

Prop & Prop Time Limit
  • All types of props are acceptable only if they can be quickly set up and removed.

  • Competitors are responsible for any/all props, this includes setting up, packing down and removing from stage.

  • A strict 1:00 minute only time limits is allocated for setting up and removing props.

  • Your props representative must be present on the tech run.

  • Props must be approved and must arrive 

Human Props
  • Human props are not allowed to touch the pole under any circumstances.

  • Human props may assist in any shape or form but can not perform a pole trick or touch the pole.

  • There is no limit to the qty of Human props allowed on stage.

  • Human props must remain backstage unless they have purchased a ticket to watch.

  • There is no time limit for a Human prop on stage.

Prohibited Props
  • Confetti cannons or Confetti of any kind

  • Water, Wet Paint, Fake Blood & Snow

  • Silly String or Streamers

  • Bubbles or Bubble machines

  • Loose feathers

  • Helium Balloons

  • Chalk, Sand, Sawdust, Crushed Cork, Flour or Corn Starch

  • Loose Glitter or any other substance that will require cleaning.

Failure to adhere to the rules regarding prohibited props

  • Any act that uses a substance not permitted or a substance that requires cleaning may creates a safety hazard for other performers and will be disqualified. This may result with the competitors music stopping and the curtain closing.

Prop Safety Regulations

​Floor Alteration or Damage

  • Props must not alter the surface of the competition or event floor.

  • Point deduction will result if the stage is not returned to its original pre-performance condition.

  • Ensure that the sliding or movement of props does not damage the floor.

  • Any damage caused will result in the competitor being responsible for covering any restoration fees charged by the theatre or event.
     

Prop Height Limit

  • All props are restricted to a maximum height of 2 meters for safety purposes.
     

Power Requirements

  • Power outlets may not be available for props requiring electricity.

  • Battery-operated props are only accepted.
     

Weight Limit

  • A single prop component must not wight more than 15kg

  • Props exceeding the maximum weight limit or deemed a safety hazard will not be allowed.


Same-Day Load-In/Load-Out

  • Props must be loaded in and out of the venue on the same day of the event.

  • Storing props backstage after the event has finished is not permitted.

  • The competition will not be responsible for props left overnight or unattended.
     

Special Prop Requests

  • Any special requests for prop assembly must be discussed with the Competition prior to the event.

  • All props must be labeled with the competitors name for identification purposes.

 

Fire and Explosives

  • Any sort of open flame, Fire eg; candles, matches, lighters, fireworks, sparklers and any explosives are strictly prohibited.

  • Unless handled by a trained professional, open flame can be used as apart of Fire Acts.

  • If using any open flames in the form of a Fire Act, competitors must be granted authorisation by the competition before hand via email in writing.
     

Other objects & Balloons

  • Swords, knives, sharp weapons and the use of animals are strictly prohibited. Toy weapons are acceptable. However, toys may not fire projectile objects or have blunt points or sharp edges.

  • Helium balloons are not permitted under any circumstances. The use of air filled balloons are allowed.

Media Relations and Privacy Guidelines
Media Release
  • By registering for any event presented under ITC – International Talent Competitions (“the Event”), competitors grant permission to ICONIC Arts Pty Ltd, ITC – International Talent Competitions, and PDA – Pole Dance Artistry to use their name, image, likeness, voice, performance footage, photographs, and results for event-related purposes.

  • This includes, but is not limited to, marketing, promotion, archival use, broadcast, and social media, in any media format, during or after the Event, without compensation or further approval.

  • All Events may be filmed and photographed. All recordings remain the property of ICONIC Arts Pty Ltd.

Confidentiality
  • Participants agree to maintain confidentiality in relation to all aspects of the Event. This includes, but is not limited to, event operations, conversations, contracts, intellectual property, judging processes, scoring information, and any personal or professional information obtained about other registered competitors, participants, staff, or clients.

  • The unauthorised sharing of personal, confidential, or internal Event information is strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action, including disqualification, removal from the Event, or exclusion from future events hosted by ICONIC Arts Pty Ltd, ITC – International Talent Competitions, or PDA – Pole Dance Artistry.

  • The sharing of internal schedules, running orders, or event logistics with external parties is not permitted and may result in removal from the Event and/or a ban from future participation.

Data Security
  • ICONIC Arts Pty Ltd is committed to the secure handling of all personal information provided by competitors. Personal details, schedules, and internal Event information are not shared with external parties except where required by law or where necessary for essential Event operations.

Competition Etiquette

Good Sportsmanship

  • Competitors and guests are expected to conduct themselves with professionalism, respect, and good sportsmanship at all times.

  • Failure to uphold appropriate conduct is result in the removal from the venue with no refund.

Performance Responsibility

  • Competitors must be fully performance-ready a minimum of 30 minutes prior to their allocated stage time.

  • If a competitor is unable to complete their routine for reasons unrelated to technical issues, they may be offered the opportunity to re-perform at the end of the session only, at the discretion of the organisers.

  • Any re-performance granted will be for critique purposes only and will not be eligible for scoring, titles, or major awards.

Level-Appropriate Performances

  • Competitors are responsible for ensuring their routine complies with the guidelines of their entered division.

  • Failure to adhere to the stated level guidelines may result in removal from eligibility for titles or major awards.

Etiquette
Filming & Photos
Filming, Photography & Legal Compliance

All competitors, spectators, and attendees must comply with Australian laws relating to privacy, media, and conduct while attending or participating in the event.

 

Privacy & Consent

Filming or photographing any individual without their consent, in circumstances where they may reasonably expect privacy, is not permitted. This includes backstage areas, dressing rooms, and restricted event spaces.

 

Media & Copyright

Performances, choreography, music, images, and video content are protected under copyright law. Unauthorised recording, reproduction, or distribution of competition performances or event materials may infringe these rights and is not permitted without approval from the event organisers.

Representation & Conduct

Filming, photography, or content shared must not misrepresent competitors, judges, staff, or the event. Content that is misleading, defamatory, or harmful may result in removal from the event and exclusion from future competitions.

 

Venue & Property Rights

Filming or photography is only permitted within authorised areas of the venue. Recording on private property or in restricted areas without permission is prohibited.

Minors

Strict child protection laws apply. Filming or photographing minors without appropriate consent is not permitted. Any unauthorised or inappropriate recording involving minors will result in immediate action and may be reported to relevant authorities.

 

 

Enforcement

Failure to comply with these requirements may result in removal from the event, disqualification, exclusion from future events, and/or further action where required by law.

Refunds & Credits
Refunds, Credits & Transfers Policy

Refunds

  • Full refunds are issued only if the event is cancelled, the venue is changed after entry, or the event date is rescheduled.

  • Refunds due to change of mind must be requested before entries close.

  • No refunds will be issued once entries have closed.

  • Once the final acceptance fee has been paid, the entry spot is secured and cannot be refunded.

  • Not securing a spot in the competition does not warrant a refund of the audition fee.
     

Credits

  • Credits are issued in the form of entry credit only and are not redeemable for cash.

  • Credits must be used within the allocated time frame; unused credits are forfeited.

  • Credits are valid until the end of the current competition season (calendar year).

  • Unused credits expire at the end of the calendar year and do not roll over.

  • Entry credits may only be postponed once.

  • Once a credit has been used, it cannot be reused or transferred

 

Transfers

  • Entries may only be transferred to another competitor who has successfully auditioned and is from the same studio.

  • Transfers to another event are only permitted before the official program is released.

  • Once the official program has been released, no transfers will be permitted.

 

Payment Gateway Fees

  • Any approved refund will exclude payment gateway fees.

  • Current Stripe fees (subject to change) are as follows:

     

    • Card / Apple Pay / Google Pay: 1.7% + A$0.30

    • International cards: additional 1.75%

Voucher
Voucher Redemption Guidelines

Non-Transferable

All vouchers, credits, prizes, and similar items are strictly non-transferable and may not be divided, shared, assigned, or exchanged for cash or any other monetary value.

 

Redemption Conditions

Vouchers may only be redeemed in accordance with the terms specified on the voucher itself or in the accompanying email. Redemption outside of these specified conditions will not be accepted.

 

Expiry Date

Vouchers are valid until the expiry date indicated on the voucher or provided in the issuing email. Expired vouchers will not be accepted under any circumstances.

 

Presentation Requirement

To redeem any voucher or offer, the original voucher or proof of the accompanying email must be presented at the time of redemption. Failure to present this documentation will result in the voucher being invalid.

Safety
Safety & Public Liability

Safety & Personal Responsibility

Competitor safety is a priority at all events presented by ICONIC Arts Pty Ltd, including those delivered under ITC – International Talent Competitions and PDA – Pole Dance Artistry. However, competitors are solely responsible for the movements, tricks, and choreography they choose to perform.

 

Competitors must only perform movements and skills they are fully trained in, physically prepared for, and confident executing safely. Competitors are strongly advised not to attempt any trick or movement they are not 100% comfortable performing under competition conditions.

 

Any injury sustained as a result of attempting unsafe, untrained, or inappropriate movements is the sole responsibility of the competitor.

Risk Acknowledgement & Health Declaration

By participating in an event presented by ICONIC Arts Pty Ltd, competitors, and where applicable their parents or guardians, confirm that they are in good physical health and capable of safely performing their routine.

 

Participants acknowledge that pole dance and performance-based activities carry inherent risks and agree not to hold ICONIC Arts Pty Ltd, ITC – International Talent Competitions, PDA – Pole Dance Artistry, or their directors, employees, contractors, volunteers, or affiliates liable for any injury, illness, damage, or loss sustained during the event.

 

Liability & Compliance

Competitors, parents, guardians, studio owners, and directors acknowledge and agree to comply with the Release of Liability completed during registration.

 

ICONIC Arts Pty Ltd and its affiliated events are not responsible for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property occurring on venue premises or during an event.
